Just because you want to be part of the process doesn’t mean you’re not looking for a reasonable price for a quality system. We wanted to ensure the AW Front Wheel 36v Kit is exactly what we represent, so we took the plunge and bought it.
This Front Wheel Conversion Kit is based on the 36V 750W motor wheel for disc brake, mounted in a double 20-inch spoked rear wheel rim. The kit comes pre-assembled and ready to use after being installed on your bike.
The motor wheel has a gearbox and a built-in overrunning clutch, which, when coasting and on the pedals, ensures that there is no braking by the motor.
A freewheel provides a good roll, which mechanically disconnects the motor from the wheel; it can be compared to a ratchet on the rear wheel of a bicycle – when you need to, you start to pedal and transfer torque to the wheel. Still, the wheel cannot transfer its torque back to the pedals.
The charger is a fairly powerful unit for 42 Volts and 2 Amperes with forced cooling (there is a built-in fan). The circuit is turned on by turning the ignition key near the right throttle.
When the ignition is turned on, a voltmeter immediately turns on, showing the current voltage in the system. Every day it is (when the battery is fully charged): no-load – 42 Volts; when the load is turned on, it can drop to 35-36 Volts. The battery is completely discharged and falls to 32 volts without burden.
By default, we offer all kits ready-made and knitted. A double aluminum rim and strong spokes provide a reliable construction. However, purchasing unspoked equipment with all components is possible separately.

In general, I am happy with the purchase and alteration of my two-wheeled friend. For many, this can become a full-fledged replacement for a city scooter because it does not require a license and is cheaper. You can ride anywhere and save on gasoline.
Whether pedaling or using the throttle, the assist level sets the top speed. I could get to just over 25 mph at the maximum assist level, but I find that speed somewhat frustrating.
You can pedal and let go, allowing the speed to ramp up and down as you please, or drop down to the second or third assist level. If you hit the brakes, the engine will shut off instead of trying to fight the brakes.
With the savings comes the project, and that’s the part you’ll want to consider. This has its advantages, especially if you build something unique.
